Apple: marktleider op multimediagebied
Apple werd in 1976 opgericht door Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak en Ronald Wayne. Het bedrijf ontleent zijn naam aan de appel omdat Jobs in die tijd als fruitariër uitsluitend fruit at. Al snel werden de personal computers die het bedrijf ontwikkelde razend populair. Door de grafische gebruikersomgeving met muisaanwijzer waren de computers gebruikersvriendelijk. De Macintosh werd al snel populair en daarmee werd Apple een geduchte concurrent voor andere fabrikanten zoals Microsoft. De vormgeving van de producten is met de introductie van de iMac sinds 1998 ook kenmerkend voor Apple. Hierin komen design, ergonomie en gebruikersgemak samen. Daarnaast ontwikkelde het bedrijf ook de besturingssystemen en accessoires zoals bluetooth oordopjes voor de diverse producten, evenals het platform iTunes. Met de ontwikkeling van de iPod, de iPhone en de iPad liep Apple voorop op het gebied van nieuwe ontwikkelingen in de mobiele markt. De Apple Watch is het voorlopige sluitstuk van het innovatieve productenlijn van Apple.
Een compleet assortiment op multimediagebied

Deze alles-in-een computer is ideaal om mee te werken, te internetten en te gamen. De MacBook, MacBook Pro en de flinterdunne MacBook Air zijn de drie laptops uit de productenlijn. De iPhone is een combinatie van een smartphone en de iPod Touch, een draagbare mediaspeler voor de weergave van muziek, foto’s en video’s. De iPhone heeft een opslagcapaciteit tot 64 GB, dus je kunt er al je favoriete muziek op kwijt. Met de iPad introduceerde Apple iets nieuws: een tablet-pc. De iPad kreeg veel navolging van concurrenten zoals Samsung. De iPad is ook verkrijgbaar als iPad Mini en als flinterdunne iPad Air, de dunste iPad tot nu toe.
Apple: marktleider op multimediagebied
